Me Umesh Gupta, I am an Electrical Engineer. Have done BE (Electrical Engg) from AMU Aligarh, M. Tech. (IIT Delhi) and PGDBM (Energy Management, MDI Gurgaon). I have been working in Indian Power Sector since 1990. Started my carrier with UP State Electricity Board, then worked as Asstt. Director with National Power Training Institute, Min. of Power, India from 1995 to 1999. Joined Delhi Vidyut Board in 1999 as Asstt. Exe. Engineer. Now working with BSES Rajdhani Power Ltd. at Delhi. I have 23 years of working experience of all three segments of Power Sector; Generation, Transmission & Distribution. Core competencies in the field of O&M, planning & augmentation of distribution network, M&R of Protection Systems of Power Equipments; Power Transformers, Lines, Feeders etc., Testing & Commissioning of these equipment. I also have interest in social work, earlier has been associated with the teaching of children from less privileged society.
