Dr N K Shrivastava did Doctorate from Jamia Milia Islamic, New Delhi (a Central University). He had total work experience of 32 year in Power sector including NTPC and National Power Training Institute (NPTI). He had worked in NTPC for about 7 years. He had worked in NPTI at various locations for 25 years. He had undergone 8 Month training in Canada during 2002. He had International and National publications
