Dr. Nisha Mendiratta is the Executive Director of the Indo-U.S. Science & Technology Forum (IUSSTF), a bilateral organization initiated by the governments of India and the U.S. With over thirty-three years of experience in science leadership, research, and governance, Dr. Mendiratta is an acclaimed figure, recently recognized as one of the "Most Influential Women in Education for 2023" by Business World Education. Her career spans significant roles, including serving as an Advisor/Scientist G at India's Department of Science and Technology (DST), where she led key scientific divisions and initiatives. Dr. Mendiratta's expertise includes strategic planning, scientific program implementation, policy interventions, and capacity building. She holds a B.Sc. in Physics, an M.Sc. in Agriculture Physics, a Postgraduate Diploma in Remote Sensing, and a Ph.D. in Agricultural Chemistry. Her contributions to science and technology, particularly in climate change and women's advancement in STEM, are widely recognized.
