- Highlights of 2024
Edwin Koekkoek has recently become the Team Leader of the Green Inclusive Development section at the Delegation of the European Union to Bangladesh. Previously, he held the position of First Counsellor on Energy and Climate Action at the EU Delegation to India, focusing on strengthening EU-India cooperation under the 2016 Clean Energy and Climate Partnership. With a history of 7 years at the Netherlands' Ministry of Environment, including roles in climate negotiations and air quality policy, he then worked 11 years for the European Parliament secretariat. Based on his work in the Environment Committee and his expertise in the area of environment, climate change, renewable energy, and EU legislative procedures, he advised the President of the European Parliament for 2.5 years, as a member of his Cabinet. Edwin studied Environmental Sciences at "Wageningen University & Research" in the Netherlands.
