Mr. Puthalanth ThazhaKuniyil drives futuristic innovations globally in smart energy, power transmission and distribution, eMobility, renewables, and more. He propels disruptive idea generation and technological advances in the energy market by collaborating successfully with different L&T entities, government organizations, multiple industry bodies, startups, and universities. Before joining L&T in 2020, he spent two decades leading various research and development teams at ABB and HP for Power Generation. His expertise in analytics, industrial automation, and team development delivered complex, mission-critical flagship products and solutions for customers worldwide, including DCS and SCADA systems. He holds a patent grant in the U.S. and China in distributed control systems and is a regular reviewer of ACM Computing Books. In 2018, he mentored for Smart India Hackathons, conducted by the Government of India Ministry of Human Resources to spur innovation, with his three teams sweeping 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the Security and Surveillance category.
