Parag has 28 years of experience across private equity investing and fund management, as well as operating experience in project finance, management audit and commercial control. Parag is currently working at NIIF as Partner at NIIF’s infrastructure fund. NIIF is a sovereign-anchored alternative investment firm envisioned to mobilize institutional capital, and operates as an investor-owned collaborative investment platform. Government of India is the largest shareholder, holding 49% equity in NIIF. Prior to NIIF, he spent 15 years with IL&FS Investment Managers, where he led PE transactions across sectors such as Power, Roads, Logistics, City Gas Distribution, Waste Management etc., and was instrumental in crafting exits by way of IPO, strategic sale and sale to global PE players.
