Dr Isha Dayal is a Consultant at National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER). Her research spans across themes relating to competitiveness, value chains, trade facilitation, and most recently focused on skill gaps and gender in India’s renewable energy generation. She has published several articles and reports on these themes, and also appeared on a Renewable Watch podcast discussing gender gaps in green growth. Dr Dayal has previously been a Fellow with NCAER, Research Fellow with World Trade Institute at University of Bern, Research Associate with Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations, and Consultant with United Nations Development Programme and Infrastructure Development Finance Company. She holds a Ph.D. degree in Public Policy from Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore; an M.Sc. degree in Economic Development and Policy Analysis from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom; and a B.A. Honours degree in Economics from Miranda House College, University of Delhi.
