Executive Director, India Smart Grid Forum

Reena Suri joined India Smart Grid Forum (ISGF) since 2013 and is currently the Executive Director of ISGF. She brings over 20 years of experience in the Energy Sector. She is responsible for the research projects, advisory services, business development, training and capacity building programs, customer outreach activities, members relations and finances of ISGF. Reena has contributed to the various advisory services, whitepapers and research reports of ISGF on key Smart Grid domains such as: Smart Grid Roadmaps for Indian, SAARC and ASEAN Utilities; Electric Vehicles and Charging Infrastructure; Blockchain for Electric Utilities; Energy Storage; Smart Metering Infrastructure; Customer Engagement etc. In association with National Critical Information Infrastructure Protection Centre (NCIIPC), Reena has assisted in devising a Framework for assessing the Cyber Security Readiness of electric utilities to protect against cyber threats. Assessed 7 utilities using this survey tool. The top 10 findings and recommendations have been submitted to Ministry of Power, which has been circulated to all Power Utilities in India for compliance. She has assisted in formulation of the Cyber Security Manual which is a first of its kind policy document in India that enumerates the standards to be followed by Indian utilities in the field of Cyber Security in India, in coordination with National Critical Information Infrastructure Protection Center (NCIIPC), and has conducted Six Workshops since 2015 on Cyber Security for Power Systems for providing training in the field of Cyber Security. Reena also conducted the First Online Training Program on Cybersecurity for Power Systems in 2020.
