Dr. Rajib K Mishra is an energy-policy specialist and Executive Director at IRADe, former Professor, MDI and CMD PTC India, he is known for his leadership in regional power cooperation, clean-energy diplomacy and strategic grid planning. Dr. Rajib K. Mishra is a senior energy sector professional with over four decades of experience spanning power generation, transmission, electricity trading, and market reforms in India and South Asia. Currently serving as Executive Director (Designate) at the Integrated Research and Action for Development (IRADe) and previously Professor of Practice at MDI Gurgaon, he has played a significant role in shaping electricity markets, cross-border power trade, and energy transition strategies. His expertise includes electricity market design, renewable energy integration, regulatory advisory, and regional energy cooperation, with active engagement in policy dialogues with institutions such as the Ministry of Power, CERC, the World Bank. Earlier, Dr. Mishra served as Chairman and Managing Director of PTC India Ltd., where he led the company’s strategic growth and helped establish Hindustan Power Exchange (HPX), India’s third power exchange. Prior to this, he held senior leadership roles at PTC India, Power Grid Corporation of India, and NTPC, contributing to national grid development, transmission infrastructure monitoring, and power market innovation. In addition to his corporate leadership, he has been actively involved in academic research, advisory roles with industry bodies, and publications on energy markets, renewable integration, and sustainable development.
