Managing Director & CEO, GE T&D India Ltd

Sandeep is Managing Director and CEO for GE T&D India Ltd (GETDIL) and is also responsible for Strategy & Global Accounts for Ge Grid Solutions Business for Asia Pacific Region. GE T&D India Ltd is a listed company on India Stock Exchange with a Market Cap of more than Two Billion Dollars and is a leading Transmission Player in the country. GE T&D India has 5 factories in India and employes more than 5000 people directly or indirectly. Sandeep is presently driving the company towards Strategic Objective of supporting decarbonization in line with GE Vernova. GETDIL is playing an important role in building nation’s Transmission Infrastructure of Green Energy Corridors through it’s Products and Projects. GETDIL has a big focus on Exports and supplies to more than 50 countries globally covering all continents. Sandeep as Strategy and Global Accounts Leader for Asia Pacific is driving the Grid Solutions strategy of de- commoditize our offerings, Growth of Business in Power Generation, Distribution and Industrial Sectors and Advocacy of New Technologies. Sandeep graduated in 1989 from Maulana Azad College of Technology (then REC and now designated as National Institute of Technology) Bhopal. Started his career with BHEL as Graduate Engineer Trainee in 1990 and worked in various fields of Commissioning, Project Management and Engineering as part of Transmission Business Group. In 2004, Sandeep joined Alstom T&D in Service business in commercial function. He then moved as Operations Head for Service Business in 2005. In 2007 Sandeep moved as Commercial Head for Utilities for Solutions Business working with major clients like Powergrid, NTPC, State Electricity Boards. In 2011 with Split of AREVA into Alstom and Schneider, Sandeep took over as Regional Director North for Sales. In 2015 Sandeep joined as Vice President (head of Project Business) for Schneider Electric in South Asia. He joined GE in 2015 as Commercial Head for South Asia and has been leading the Commercial Strategy up to 2023. Sandeep is a member of National Executive Council of IEEMA for 3 Years and is working with all stakeholders for a more sustainable business environment for the Industry.
