Mr. Vinod Kumar Agrawal is the Senior Advisor with the SAREP (South Asia Regional Energy Partnership) Program under the USAID and renders support towards ‘System Operation and Regional Institutions’ activities. Mr. Agrawal has more than 4 decades of experience in the field of the power sector and in the past as a member of the Grid India family, he has worked extensively towards the operation and control of regional and national grid in India and its synchronization with the neighboring countries in South Asia. He graduated from Delhi College of Engineering and M. Tech in Power Apparatus & Systems (PAS) from I.I.T, Delhi. He has represented India on the CIGRE Standing Committee - C2, on ‘Power System Operation and Control’, and is a Senior Member of IEEE. He has authored several technical papers in the area of Power Systems and associated subjects and is also co-editor of the book titled ‘Grid Security and Management’ published in the year 2009.
