Arvind Singh, a highly accomplished and esteemed power sector professional with an illustrious career spanning over 39 years, stands as an exemplary leader in the power industry. With a career that began as a Graduate Engineering Trainee (GET) at TATA Power, Mr. Singh has consistently demonstrated his ability to excel in various roles within the Generation, Transmission, and Distribution verticals. Mr. Singh holds a B.Tech degree from IIT Madras and is an esteemed alumnus of Loyola College, Madras and Loyola School, Jamshedpur. Before assuming his current position in Odisha, Mr. Singh held the esteemed titles of CEO of TP Southern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPSODL), ED & CEO of Powerlinks Transmission Limited and Chief - Transmission at The TATA Power Company Limited. Mr. Singh's journey at TATA Power has been marked by significant contributions. He spent six years at the Bhira Generating Station and made a notable impact during his 13-year tenure at the Kalyan Receiving Station, Parel Receiving Station and at Distribution Division at Mahalaxmi. From 2005 to 2007, Mr. Singh held the position of Area Power System Manager at Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited, showcasing his diverse range of skills and responsibilities. Subsequently, from 2010 to 2015, he served as the Executive Director and CEO at Powerlinks Transmission Limited, a joint venture between Tata Power and Powergrid. He then led the Transmission business of Tata Power Mumbai before taking the reins of newly formed Discom, TP Southern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPSODL) as the CEO. Under his leadership, TPSODL transformed into a consumer centric Discom with significant reduction in AT & C losses.
