Mikael Jakobsson is a CEO and expert in Energy Management and Energy Engineering with over 20 years of experience. He is the CEO of NXITY Group, a company specializing in developing and optimizing District Energy, Co-generation, Tri-generation, and Multi-Energy Systems for local governments, investors, and utilities. He also initiated the establishment of the Asia Pacific Urban Energy Association in 2017 and serves as its President. Previously, Mikael worked as a Project- and Market Director for COWI in China and was responsible for establishing a District Energy department and developing COWI's energy business in China. Mikael has experience working with utility clients, international financial institutions, and industrial clients, as well as government agencies, and has been involved in over 100 district energy projects worldwide. He has a M.Sc. degree from the Royal Institute of Technology.
