Arijit Sengupta
Bureau of Energy Efficiency

Arijit Sengupta is a Director with the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power, Government of India. He has been with the bureau for over 15 years and holds a number of responsibilities such as International Cooperation, Demand Side Management, Financing of Energy Efficiency initiatives, Planning & Statistics, and coordination with other Ministries on technical matters. Sengupta is an MBA from Delhi University, a Certified Energy Auditor, and a Chemical Engineer with around 17 years of experience, 12 of which are in Energy Efficiency. He has held several positions with the Bureau of Energy Efficiency including Joint Director and Project Engineer. Prior to his role at the Bureau, he worked as a Project Engineer with CHEMPROJECT Consulting Private Limited and as a Research Fellow at the Central Pulp & Paper Research Institute.
