George Hunt is a Fellow of the British Computer Society (FBCS) with over 30 years of experience leading business transformation programs and large technology teams across various sectors, including utilities, energy, government, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, and chemicals. He is currently the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) at Smart Energy Water, where he works with the world's most innovative energy and water companies, embracing platform-based technologies to rapidly evolve into smart resource businesses. Prior to his current role, he was the General Manager - Digital Business and Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Sydney Water for 4 years and 8 months. He also held leadership roles at Wipro Digital, Wessex Water, CSC, RWE AG, and KPMG. George Hunt holds a B.Sc. in Engineering from the University of Birmingham, an M.Sc. in Information Systems Strategy and Management from Kingston University, and completed the AICD Directors Course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
