Mr N Murugesan has more than 40 years of experience in the areas of Power Systems , Transmission & Distribution system, Communication Protocol for Power system , Sub-station Automation, Distribution Automation, Smart Grid, Advanced Metering Infrastructures (AMI), Smart Meters, Switch-gear testing & Certification (Low & High voltage equipment) as per National & International standards. Managed one of the largest Power Engineering Research Institute as it’s Chief Executive Officer from 22 March 2010 to 21st March 2015. Expanded Research and Testing facilities to an international level meeting all IEC and BIS requirements across India in it's 7 laboratories. From 2015 onwards working as Independent Consultant advising Electric Utilities in introducing new technology/ process/ schemes , revising the specification of equipment for tendering, producing Market Research Reports on various technologies including evaluating Utility companies, offering training in the are of Smart Grid/ Sub-station Automation, SCADA, Distribution Automation, Smart Meter, AMI, Communication systems, Storage, Safety, Quality assurance of Electric equipment etc.
