Saurav Shah was a 2009 batch IPS officer of the Bihar cadre, he is spear heading the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS). RDSS is Government of India's priority program in the power distribution sector having an out lay of Rs.3000 billion and is aimed at transformation of the sector. PFC along with its subsidiary REC is the Nodal Agency for the scheme. At PFC, he was also associated with and instrumental in successful completion and closure of Integrated Power Development Scheme (IPDS) & the erst while Restructured Accelerated Power Distribution and Reforms Programme (R-APDRP) worth Rs600 million.
