He is engineering graduate from IIT Varanasi and MBA from IIM Bangalore with 20 years’ experience in the power sector. This includes 8 years at the CXO level with BSES- Delhi, Torrent Power-Ahmedabad, and CSEC-Kolkata. He has a deep understanding of the distribution business, the ground realities and challenges facing the sector and the opportunities. He played a key role in these organizations including the transformation of BSES post privatization across all business and operational metrics including AT& C losses from 50% to about 10% by 2016 in BSES, and improvements in reliability, power management, capex and opex efficiencies. After superannuation he has been associated with US companies in new technologies including AI/ML domain working on solutions addressing the challenges facing the sector in India. He is presently MD with Bidgely Technologies, a San Jose based company with SaaS based solutions to drive customer engagement, energy efficiency, and decarbonization goals for 0ver 30 utilities worldwide.
